More Ancient Egypt - this time some fun crafts

We have added a great collection of Ancient Egypt crafts today, which Tracy did with her girls. It looks like they had lots of fun, and they certainly did a great job! They mummified a fashion doll and then made it its own mummy case, built a pyramid out of sugar lumps, and modelled some fantastic canopic jars.

Scrapblog - on-line scrapbooking

This is an excellent site, very easy to use, and is basically scrapbooking but without the mess (or the expense). You can select a theme or start from scratch, upload your photos, add frames, stickers, and other fun features. When finished you can publish it or invite family and friends to view it. It is very straightforward to use and would be ideal for a child to use to create vacation pages, or birthday memories, or even a school project.

Singing Science

This is a real blast from the past, but lots of fun too. We've enjoyed listening to some of these old songs which are a fun way of learning various science facts. Our favourite so far has been "The Water Cycle Song" as that is one thing we have been studying recently, but there are lots more to listen to on this site:
